Join a Board

UVA Vecinos en Accion envisions a thriving community with a Latino voice in all levels of leadership. Joining a board as a community member is a great way to ensure that the Latino voice is being heard. Sitting on the board of an agency is a great way for the public to take part in decisions that benefit our community. The best way to get involved in making a difference in our community is by taking these board seats. Board members play an important role, making decisions and providing direction on projects and decisions for the agency.

We believe that boards should reflect the community in which they serve. UVA wants to unite agencies and Latinos so that when a board seat opens up it is accessible to the public including Latinos. The Latino community has a voice often not heard but essential to ensure equitable decisions are being made.

Boards UVA members participate in:

  • Mendocino Environmental Center

  • KZYX Community Advisory Board

Are you an organization interested in creating a more equitable and diverse board that represents the community in which you serve?

Send open board seats and positions via email, to be posted on this webpage for community members to see.
